CUSTOMER LOGISTICS MANAGER 

Description The Customer Logistics Manager is responsible for establishing strategic direction for National Accounts as it relates to Customer Service and alignment with the strategic direction set by the VP, National Account Sales.
The Customer Logistics Manager is responsible for developing and directing the implementation of the Logistics components of fully integrated joint business strategies with key customers in their regions. They design these strategies to contribute maximum value throughout the end-to-end supply chain and across all Kellogg networks (MF, FF, DSD, Kashi, etc). The CLM works to achieve preferred supplier status for the Kellogg Company. Provides insight for future customer and industry requirements to competitively position the Kellogg Company. Full accountability for Customer Logistics Service strategies and planning falls within the scope of this function.

This position has a solid line reporting relationship to the Associate Director, Customer Ops, National Accounts.
Internally the incumbent has contact with plants, KNA Logistics, KNA Quality, Customer Service, Corporate Sales Group, Procurement, Finance, Marketing and Field Sales. Insures tactical strategies through communication and collaboration with Customer Services and Fields Sales.
The incumbent is located in the Sales office for the particular National Account in which they are assigned to provide on site support and to be aligned geographically with their customer base.
The incumbent is dedicated to strategy development with customer’s senior logistics executives and follow-up with other members of customers’ product supply organizations. Incumbent delivers periodic customer business reviews in collaboration with Sales.
Incumbent spends a significant amount of time with Senior Customer Logistics executives benchmarking Kellogg’s current capabilities versus assigned customer’s direction. The incumbent attends industry forums, conferences and seminars to insure transferability of best practices to customer base.

Requires expert communication skills to communicate matters of significant importance to the business, represent the organization to multiple internal and external constituents, negotiate issues with significant impact on the achievement of strategic objectives, etc. Contacts are generally with individuals in executive and lead executive roles. Interactions involve strategic business issues and require extremely advanced communication skills in multiple areas (analysis, interpretation, presentation, direction, negotiation, facilitation, persuasion, etc.)

Position Requirements Minimum requirements: HS/GED and at least 8 years related work experience OR Associate's Degree and at least 6 years related work experience OR Bachelor's Degree and 4 years related work experience.

Preferred: Bachelors Degree and 6 years and 1 year supervisory / managerial is preferred.
