DISTRICT MANAGER 

Description Kellogg Company has an opportunity for a District Manager in the Kansas City, KS area. The main responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership to team of 10-12 Territory Managers and 10-20 Merchandisers to achieve volume and expense targets.
- Execute the Talent Management program by writing and delivering performance management & development plans, setting goals and communicating accountabilities. As well as providing continuous coaching and feedback to Territory Managers & Merchandisers on display/shelf conditions, customer interaction, opportunities for increasing volume and profitability and negotiating/selling skills.
- Ensuring all customer needs are met within your district by supporting the Account Managers strategy by directing execution of promotional programs and other activities.
- Working with the Distribution Center Manager to ensure efficient flow of merchandise.
- Achieve assigned period, quarterly and annual district volume and brand targets - while managing S&D and productivity. Obtain an average yearly budget.
- Creating and analyzing reports to find new opportunities to grow volume, increase productivity and identify future opportunities in your district.
- Recruit, train, coach and develop staff within the district; follow company diversity and affirmative action goals.
- Conduct monthly district sales meetings with staff to present promotion activity, new product introductions, display execution objectives, improved display selling techniques and sales aids and/or other training as required.
- Promote practices that result in all sales personnel conducting themselves in a manner that promotes safety.

Position Requirements Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 or more years sales and/or sales operational experience
- 2 or more years people management experience
- Proficient in MS Office
- Strong communication skills, verbal & written

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- Demonstrated skill in providing leadership and direction to teams of greater than 10 direct reports and in excess of $16.0 MM in sales.
- Sales forecasting and GAP analysis
- Managed field sales organization
