ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE 

Description Kellogg Company Morning Foods Division is seeking an Account Executive (previously known as Customer Business Manager) for its Western Region business.

The Account Executive achieves assigned sales budget through effective planning, merchandising and personal selling efforts for multiple account focus, wholesale or indirect accounts. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

a) managing multiple accounts within the assigned market area to achieve sales budgets;
b) negotiating with customers to achieve desired sales results and strong customer relationships;
c) presenting new products to customers utilizing a full range of data sources to prepare and conduct effective presentations;
d) working collaboratively with sales and supply chain partners;
e) ensuring shelf and in-store selling objectives are met through retail partners;
f) ensuring promotion price point integrity and parity at HQ-Retail level; and
g) executing HQ plans, developing promotional plans, achieving sales volume within spend budget and delivering Return On Investment targets.

The Account Executive works predominantly from a home office and must have the ability to operate a motor vehicle.

Position Requirements BA/BS Degree plus 2 years CPG sales experience and/or a combination of Account management and Category Management experience required --OR-- High School Degree/GED, plus a minimum of 4 years CPG sales experience and/or a combination of Account Management and Category Management experience is required.

Ability to work in conditions which include multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities, extended schedules and specific time constraints required. Proven efficiency working in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, is required. Experience with sales forecasting and promotional planning systems and IRI experience preferred along with strong analytical skills. Previous experience communicating complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels, both in writing and verbally, is required.
Extensive local travel is required in this role. Kellogg experience preferred.

 

License Requirements Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record.
